Northern California Regional Events

USA Baseball is proud to present the Northern California region of the National Team Identification Series (NTIS). Players from across your region will participate in selection events and tryouts with the aim of being named to the Northern California 11U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U and 17U teams.

Six Teams (NTIS)

The six regional teams will then compete in their respective age groups against 15 other regions from across the country in the culminating NTIS event at the USA Baseball National Training Complex and adjoining Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C. in the fall of 2018.

National Team Development

From the final NTIS event, USA Baseball will invite a minimum of 66 players to future National Team Trials, National Team Development Program, and Tournament of Stars opportunities with the ultimate goal of being selected to represent our country as part of Team USA in 2018.

Teams will play 4 games, 6 innings each. No time limit and home team bats in the 6th regardless of score.

 

Games will be played with 50 Mound and 70 Bases

 

In addition to the games, players will run a 40-yard dash; take batting practice; and pro-style defensive testing combine.

 

NCTB reserves the right to accept or reject team entries based on quality of team; whether the event is full; etc. If NCTB rejects a team entry- team will be refunded in full.

 

Approximately 28 players will advance from this event to the NorCal All-Star Game July 17th. From that All-Star Game, the top 14 Players will be selected to represent Northern California at the USA Baseball National Team Identification Series in Cary, NC on Aug 23-26.

 

At the NTIS, 12 players will be selected by USA Baseball for the 2019 12u US National Team.

 

Event will be from 8:00am-5:00pm each of the two days.

 

This event will be run by the Northern California NTIS Staff.

The Games will be held on Tuesday, July 10th at University of San Francisco Benedetti Diamond in Stockton, CA. The planned start time is 3pm (arrival time 2pm for check-in). The game will feature top players from all of Northern California. These games have quickly become a recruiting favorite for D1, 2 & 3 schools as well as many JC's and professional scouts. The Prospect Games are the primary selection event for Team Northern California that will play in the National NTIS in Cary North Carolina (August 8-12). Following the Game, the Task Force will make player selections for the 13U Team Northern California teams.
